Ovo Energy Customer Referral Programme

1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 By [completing and submitting a referral] for the Ovo Energy Customer Referral Programme (“Programme”) you (the “Participant”) agree to the following terms and conditions with Ovo Energy Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 06890795 and whose registered office is at Wellington House, Kemble Enterprise Park, Kemble, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 6BQ, together with any companies within its group (“Ovo”).

2. Programme Summary

2.1 This Programme is for Ovo’s domestic customers to refer other domestic customers who live in the UK where gas and electricity competition is available and where Ovo offers supply.

3. Participation in the Programme

3.1 Participants must, at the date of the referral:-

3.1.1 have an active account with Ovo for the supply of gas and/or electricity; and

3.1.2 be a domestic customer of Ovo; and

3.1.3 have an active Direct Debit in place.

3.2 Ovo employees who have an active account with Ovo are eligible to participate in the Programme.

3.3 Ovo’s decision as to whether a customer is eligible to participate in the Programme is final.

4. Qualified Referrals & Statement Credits

4.1 A referral will be successful if it meets the following:

4.1.1 the customer referred is a new domestic customer of Ovo (a customer is considered new to Ovo if he/she is not currently under an initial contract or renewal contract with Ovo, is not receiving domestic gas and/or electricity services from Ovo on a variable tariff or the termination of a previously active contract); and

4.1.2 the customer referred satisfies all Ovo’s domestic enrolment requirements; and

4.1.3 the new customer enrols with Ovo for an account for their gas and/or electricity online via the Ovo Energy’s website found at www.ovoenergy.com, or directly through the link provided by the Participant and enters the Participant’s valid Referral ID in the Code field during the sign up process or by calling Ovo Energy at 0800 5999 440 and referencing the Referral ID Code; and

4.1.4 the new customer continues to receive domestic gas and/or electricity supply from Ovo for a minimum of 60 consecutive days.

4.2 A new customer is a Qualified Referral where all the criteria of clause 4.1 are met. Ovo’s decision as to whether a customer is a Qualified Referral is final.

5. The Credits

5.1 For each Qualified Referral credited to the Participant, the Participant will receive a credit on their account (“Statement Credit”).

5.2 Statement Credits are not redeemable as a cash refund.

5.3 The value of the Statement Credits will be based upon Ovo’s current Programme offer at the time of the Qualified Referral’s enrolment with Ovo.

5.4 The Statement Credit will be applied to your account as soon as possible and will typically be posted to your account within 60 days of the Qualified Referral receiving their 60 consecutive days of supply from Ovo.

5.5 If your Ovo account is in arrears, we’ll apply the Statement Credit to the outstanding balance first.

5.6 Ovo may provide the Participant with an alternative to Statement Credits such as a gift card or other form of tender of equal value.

6. Confidentiality

6.1 By participating in the Programme, you give Ovo permission to share your Programme referral code to potential Qualified Referrals as necessary to enrol those customers with Ovo. This may be needed in the event that a Referral calls or emails to sign up and does not have the Referral Code available at the point of sign up.

7. Independent Contractor Relationship

7.1 Your participation in the Programme doesn’t allow you to act on Ovo’s or Ovo partners’ behalf. Nothing should imply a joint venture, employer-employee relationship, partnership or association between you and Ovo, or our partners.

8. Indemnification

8.1 By participating in the Programme, you hold Ovo harmless from and against any and all damages, costs, expenses, claims or liabilities of any kind, including third party claims, including attorneys’ fees and court costs, related to your participation in the Programme or breaking the Programme Terms.

9. Amendments

9.1 Ovo can change the terms or content of this Programme at anytime. If any of the Programme Terms change, Ovo will publish a new version on ovoenergy.com. All previous offers regarding Programme will no longer be valid.

9.2 Statement Credits or other payment amounts are subject to change at any time.

10. General

10.1 You may not assign the right to participate in the Programme to anyone else. Ovo may assign these Programme Terms or assign or delegate any of its rights or responsibilities to independent contractors or other third parties.

10.2 Ovo reserves the right to end this Programme at any time. All referral forms properly completed and submitted before this Programme is ended will be looked at on an individual basis.

10.3 Ovo can decline any referrals which do not comply with the intended spirit of the Programme.

10.4 These Programme Terms and any activity as a result from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
