With over 4,000 different energy tariffs in the UK, choosing the right one can be confusing. That’s why we’ve decided to keep things nice and simple and offer just two.
We looked at the things customers want – great value, not paying a premium to be green, protection from price hikes and hassle-free payments – and came up with:
- The Ovo new energy plan
- The Ovo green energy plan

- Great value – being new, we use the latest technology to be more efficient and keep our costs low – savings that we pass on to you.
- Fixed price – we know how frustrating and difficult it can be when spikes in energy prices cause your bill to skyrocket. Our fixed price plan helps you manage the household budget by guaranteeing the price you pay per unit of energy won’t go up even if wholesale market prices do.
- 15% green energy – because we think increasing the demand for renewable energy will lead to an increase in supplies, we mix some in even though this isn’t our ‘green tariff’. It means you’re doing your bit without paying a green premium.
- Paperless billing – another way of doing your bit for the planet. Sending your bills by email saves energy and trees.
- Direct debit – another cost saving for us that we then pass on to you. Receiving payments by direct debit means we don’t have to factor in the extra costs associated with old fashioned bills – like people forgetting to pay on time. It also makes life easier for you.
This tariff has all of the benefits of the Ovo energy plan and 100% green electricity. Still great value for a green tariff, it is by necessity a little more expensive than the new energy plan.
