Enough is enough - response to SSE energy price rises

By OVO Energy Thursday 21 July 2011

Commenting on this morning’s price rise announcement from Scottish & Southern Energy, Stephen Fitzpatrick, Founder and Managing Director of OVO Energy, the top ranked energy supplier in a recent Which? customer survey, said:

“This huge price rise once again shows a big energy company taking British families for granted. For too long there has been no choice in the market, with the big providers free to charge what they will."

“Change only happens when ordinary people decide enough is enough. There is a choice. The 99% of consumers still supplied by the old energy companies can just walk away. The only language the big energy companies will understand is when they are hit on the bottom line."

“Switching energy suppliers is easy. People don’t have to accept unfair tariffs any more.”
