Following the announcement by GB Energy that it has ceased trading we want to reassure our customers that they remain in safe hands this winter.

OVO has been in business since 2009 and is one of the largest independent suppliers today.

We have always priced responsibly - which means we offer fair, transparent and sustainable pricing. We don't believe in giving our customers prices that are simply too good to be true.

We have navigated a number of commodity cycles. We have a strong trading relationship with Shell through which we have bought energy in advance for our customers' contracts for the coming winter and well into 2017.

Combined with our financial strength and award-winning service, we will keep our customers warm and happy this winter.

As a responsible supplier we're working with Ofgem to find a solution for GB Energy's customers.
