London, 6 June 2017: OVO Energy today announces a price reduction, beginning 6th June 2017, following decreases in wholesale commodity costs for both electricity and gas. The move will affect new and renewing customers on OVO Energy’s pay-monthly fixed tariffs, including Better Energy, Greener Energy and 2 Year Fixed Energy plans.
OVO Energy dual fuel customers stand to save approximately: £30 per year (or 3%) to £967 on OVO Energy’s Better Energy tariff; £33 per year (or 3.1%) to £1,025 on OVO Energy’s Greener Energy tariff; and £22.50 per year (or 2.3%) to £1,010 on OVO Energy’s 2 Year Fixed Energy tariff, based on headline prices.
OVO Energy reviews its prices on a regular basis and has a strong track record of cost-reflective pricing and passing back savings to customers whenever possible. These principles sit at the heart of the company’s promise to customers that the deal they are getting from OVO Energy will always be fair, transparent and as competitive as possible.
The price changes take effect at 8am on 6th June 2017.
