Dan Burdett joins OVO to empower customers to drive UK decarbonisation and provide outstanding support through high energy prices

Thursday 28th April:  OVO Energy, the company on a mission to drive progress to zero carbon living, has announced the appointment of Dan Burdett, Customer and Growth Officer for Pret A Manger to join its team as Chief Customer Officer. 

OVO Energy is the UK’s third largest energy supplier with ambitious goals to decarbonise homes across the country and help lower the carbon footprint of its customers. The company is committed to supporting its customers through high energy prices, adapting its business model to ensure customers get the help they need whilst delivering on its net zero ambitions. 

At Pret, Dan led on the transformation of its business model after it was forced to reinvent itself during the pandemic. At the heart of this transformation plan was a significant shift in the way the business serves customers, providing food and coffee through new digital and retail channels. Dan was part of the team that launched the UK’s first Coffee Subscription service other customer driven initiatives such as, click and collect, home delivery, and new app and digital loyalty schemes
