OVO JOINS OVER 600 RESPONSIBLE BUSINESSES IN BECOMING A MEMBER OF BUSINESS IN THE COMMUNITY

Monday 11th July 2022: OVO has today become the latest member of Business in the Community (BITC), the Prince’s Responsible Business Network, and joins over 600 businesses who are committed to achieving business objectives by focusing on societal needs. BITC has members across the UK who are working with communities to create thriving places for people to live and work.
As the energy crisis continues across the UK, it’s important for businesses to work together to support households. OVO has support in place for its customers to help offer support or guidance.
BITC brings businesses together to tackle some of the biggest issues facing communities across the UK, from protecting the planet to leading on gender and racial equality.
The role of businesses in creating a fair and healthy society has been at the core of BITC’s agenda since it was founded by HRH Prince of Wales in 1982. For 40 years, BITC has been leading businesses to put responsibility into the heart of decision making, so that business decisions have a positive impact on the planet, communities, and people.
