Electric Vehicle Leasing

1. The Offer

1.1 OVO is offering 2,000 free miles for OVO members who have entered into a lease agreement  for an EV with Vanarama after being redirected from the OVO website from 08/06/2021.

1.2 This will be provided to you via 12 monthly credits of £6.05 being applied to your OVO Energy account over the course of 12 months, starting after you take delivery of your electric vehicle, and up to a maximum total credit of £72.60 (inclusive of VAT).

  • £72.60 can purchase 501 kWh of energy at the average electricity unit rate of 14.49p/kWh available on the OVO Drive tariff (as of 02/06/2021).
  • For a typical electric vehicle with an  powertrain efficiency of 4 miles/kWh (for example, the Tesla Model 3 has an efficiency of 4.26 miles/kWh), 2,000 miles equates to 500kWh of energy.

1.3 Credit may be equivalent to a lower number of free miles for customers on other OVO tariffs, and is subject to the type of vehicle you drive, the weather conditions you drive in and your driving style.

1.4 The contract for the lease of your electric vehicle (EV) will be between you and Autorama UK Ltd (trading as Vanarama), company  number 05137709, whose registered address is Vanarama, Marylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7DE,  and is an FCA regulated product.  Any purchase you make will be subject to Vanarama’s core terms and conditions and eligibility criteria and is subject to status. See here for a link to Vanarama’s terms. OVO bears no liability whatsoever for the goods or services provided to you under your agreement with Vanarama. OVO also makes no guarantee that you’ll be successful in your application to lease an EV which is entirely the decision of Vanarama and is subject to Vanarama’s own eligibility criteria.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) to take advantage of this offer. Proof of purchase is required.

2.2 You are eligible for the offer if you are on any OVO tariff and have leased an EV from Vanarama after being redirected from the OVO website. 

2.3 If you:

(a) leave OVO during the cooling off period or cancel your Vanarama lease during the cooling off period  (“cooling off period” being the period of 14 days from the relevant contract start date); or 

(b) leave OVO at any time before you have received all of your payments under the 2,000 Free Miles offer (i.e within 12 months after you have received delivery of your car), you will no longer be eligible for the offer, and you will not receive payment of any remaining credits. 

2.4 If you move out of the Property where you began receiving the offer, we'll no longer be able to award the offer.

2.5 The offer can only be redeemed once per person and  in respect of your EV lease, you cannot register the same EV more than once.

2.6 This offer is non-transferable and no cash offer will be offered to you.

3. How to claim the 2,000 free miles offer:

3.1 If you are already an OVO member – to claim the 2,000 free miles offer, simply enter your OVO account number when prompted in an email you’ll receive from Vanarama after ordering your vehicle. The discount will automatically start to be applied after 1 month of your car being delivered. 

3.2 If you’re not currently an OVO member, or did not enter your OVO account number during the Vanarama sales process and would like to claim the 2,000 miles offer – you’ll need to sign up to OVO first. Once you’re on supply with OVO, you can claim your 2,000 free miles offer by emailing smarthome@ovoenergy.com with your Reg Plate number and your OVO account number. You will receive the first credit to your account within 1 month. You will need to claim the offer within 2 months of the date your car was delivered to you or you will no longer be able to benefit from the offer. 

4. Your Data

By signing up to an EV deal after being redirected from the OVO website, you’ll be asked by Vanarama to consent to certain data being shared with OVO like the make and model of car leased and also some personal data such as the car's registration plate number and your OVO account number. This information will be used by OVO to administer the 2,000 free miles offer if you choose to go for it. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information on how we look after your data.

6. General

6.1 We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time, including withdrawing or amending the offer. The new terms will appear on our website. We will notify you 30 days in advance of any change we plan to make that puts you at a material disadvantage.

6.2 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
