Our Planting Promise
We've planted 5 million UK trees.
Trees are incredible. They clean our air, protect wildlife, and keep us cool on sunny days. But we don’t have enough of them. That’s why at OVO, since 2015 we've planted 5 million uk-native trees in schools and communities across the UK on behalf of our customers.
Why we're serious abouttrees
Homes for wildlife
Trees are habitats for lots of creatures. Forest experts believe a single native tree planted in the UK can support over 400 species.
Helping our health
One study found that spending at least 2 hours a week in nature among trees is linked with good health and wellbeing.
Cleaning the air
Trees are like big sponges. They can absorb up to 60kg of carbon in the first 10 years of growing.
Bringing us together
Our tree-planting brings together hundreds of people – all heading outside and into nature – to give back to their local communities.

Fancy bringing some beautiful green trees to your local community? You’re welcome to join in! The Conservation Volunteers offer free packs to plant OVO trees in community spaces, such as schools and parks.
Packs vary in number of trees, with different native species depending on where you’d like to plant them. Tree planting seasons differ, but you can register your interest in a tree pack registration all year round.
