It depends. Variable energy tariffs are flexible, so you can change at any time. With fixed, you get peace of mind knowing that your prices won’t change for a set amount of time. You would need to check what the unit prices are for variable and fixed tariffs when you’re picking a tariff.
With a fixed tariff, your unit rates are fixed which protects you from price rises so you’ll only be charged for the amount of energy you use in that month.
Once your fixed tariff comes to an end, you will automatically be rolled on to our standard variable tariff but we will contact you ahead of time so that you can switch to a new fixed tariff or explore our other available tariffs.
