Fixed tariffs give you peace of mind and protection against future price changes. Your unit price is fixed – that's your price per kWh. And your standing charge is fixed too – this is the price everybody pays for maintenance of things like pipes and meters.
Helpful to know: your unit prices are fixed, but your bills are based on how much gas or electricity your home uses. This means your bills might go up in winter when you're using more energy, and they'll go down in summer when you'll be using less.
