Sale of OVO’s retail business to E.ON cleared by the CMA

01 October 2026, London: The sale of OVO’s UK retail business to E.ON has been cleared by the Competition and Markets Authority.

The transaction, announced on 11 May 2026, includes OVO’s retail customers and everyone who works at OVO to support them.

Until completion, OVO and E.ON will continue to operate as separate companies. There are no changes for OVO customers, whose tariffs, accounts, payment arrangements and customer support remain exactly as they are today.
