OVO’s Loyalty Bonus Terms and Conditions

These are the terms and conditions (the Terms) for our Loyalty Bonus offer (the Offer). Please read these Terms carefully. These Terms are in addition to, and do not replace, our Core Energy Supply Terms and Conditions (Core Terms). 

All defined terms in our Core Terms will have the same meaning when used in these Terms unless otherwise stated.

1. What is Loyalty Bonus?

1.1 Loyalty Bonus is a reward for existing customers in their renewal window who decide to stay with OVO, on a Fixed tariff. It’s available to existing customers only who contact OVO by phone. Please note that this is a trial and won’t be available to everyone.

1.2 Provided you meet the Eligibility Criteria (see Section 2), you’ll receive £25 for each fuel OVO supplies to you, up to a maximum of £50 (the Credit) towards your energy charges. 

1.3 The Credit will be applied as a credit to your energy account within 30-60 days of your new fixed tariff starting (provided that you continue to meet the Eligibility Criteria). 

1.4 The Credit will show as “Loyalty Bonus” on your account statements or communications. 

2. Who is eligible?

2.1 The Offer is only available to select customers who contact us by phone to renew their tariff and who also meet each of the following eligibility criteria (Eligibility Criteria):

  • You pay for your energy by Direct Debit. This Offer is not available to customers who pay on receipt of their bill, or prepayment customers

  • You have a standard meter, a smart meter, or an Economy 7, 9 or 10 meter. All other types of multi-rate meters are excluded from the Offer

  • You’re a dual fuel or electricity only customer.  Customers who take a gas-only supply with us won’t be eligible for the Offer

  • You stay on supply with OVO for at least 1 month after renewing your Fixed tariff. If you leave OVO before then, you won’t be eligible for the Offer 

  • This Offer is personal to you and you can’t transfer it to another person

  • You comply with the Core Terms. If at any time you fail to meet the Eligibility Criteria we reserve the right to remove the Offer

2.2 Eligibility for the Offer is at our discretion and we reserve the right to remove the Offer if we believe that a customer is ineligible for any reason.

3. Loyalty Bonus

How is the Loyalty Bonus applied?

3.1 The Offer is applied as 1 credit directly to your OVO energy account, for either £25(single fuel) or £50 (dual fuel). There is no cash alternative. You’ll see it on your monthly bill. Do I need to do anything to receive my Loyalty Bonus?

3.2 You don’t need to do anything to activate the Credit; your account will be automatically credited. We’ll apply the Credit within 60 days and you’ll see it on your monthly bill.

4. Switching Away or Moving Home

4.1 If you switch away within 30 days of re-fixing, you won’t receive the Credit. If you switch away and are in debt, any Credit paid to you will go towards this debt.

4.2 If you move home within 30 days of re-fixing, you’ll still be eligible for the Credit as long as you’ll be supplied by OVO at your new home. If you switch away, you won’t receive the credit.  

5. General 

5.1 This Offer is subject to availability and we reserve the right to make changes to the Offer and these Terms at any time including amending or withdrawing the Offer. If we make a change which disadvantages you, we’ll give you reasonable notice before the change happens.

5.2 We reserve the right to remove or temporarily suspend the Offer if, in our reasonable opinion, we suspect any breach of these Terms or our Core Terms  

5.3 We won’t be liable to you for any loss you may incur as a result of your participation in this Offer.

5.4 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales if you live in England and Wales and by the laws of Scotland if you live in Scotland.
