FreeNow Charge Anywhere Offer Terms and Conditions

1. About this Offer

1.1 The ‘6 months of 10% off public charging’ offer (the “Offer”) gives customers a free ‘Light Boost’ subscription worth £2 per month. Taking out a free ‘Light Boost’ subscription gives them a 10% saving on charging on all OVO Charge networks. Customers can also choose to get £2 off any other Charge Anywhere subscription for 6 months.

The Offer is available to customers who are a registered FreeNow black cab or private hire driver. 

1.2 These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you if you have signed up to and been accepted to participate in the Offer. These Terms are supplemental to the Charge Anywhere terms which cover our Charge Anywhere product.

1.3 The Offer runs from 05 September 2024 to 06 September 2025 (the “Offer Period”).

1.4 The Promoter of this Offer is OVO Energy Limited, incorporated in England and Wales under company number 06890795 and whose registered office is at OVO Energy, 1 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6ED (“OVO”, “we”).

2. How to Redeem

To redeem this Offer you must create an OVO Charge account and sign up to or currently subscribe to any OVO Charge subscription. You will be given a unique promo code to enter in the OVO Charge app to claim your discount. If you are an existing subscriber the discount will be applied to your next month’s subscription fee.  

3. Eligibility

3.1 This Offer is only open to you if:

  1. you are a registered FreeNow black cab or private hire driver. 
  2. you sign up to Charge Anywhere during the Offer Period subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria set out in the Charge Anywhere terms and sign up to any subscription;
  3. you continue to comply with the Charge Anywhere Terms and all other terms which govern your relationship with OVO;
  4. you comply with the fair usage policy (see more below).

3.2 If you do not meet the eligibility criteria in paragraph 2.1 above, you will not be eligible for the offer, but if you are an OVO energy customer, your energy supply contract will be unaffected. See our Core Terms for your rights to cancel your energy supply contract should you wish to do so. Please note that termination fees may apply. 

4. Data Sharing

4.1 Your legal rights in relation to your personal information and the way in which we process your personal data will be in line with our Privacy Policy which you can find at https://www.ovoenergy.com/privacy-policy.

4.2 FreeNow will process your personal data in line with their own Privacy Policy which you can find at https://www.free-now.com/uk/driver-privacy-policies/. 

5. Other 

5.1 If you cancel your OVO Charge subscription, you will no longer be eligible to claim the Offer and you may need to pay any exit fees associated with your plan. 

5.2 We reserve the right to remove or temporarily suspend the Offer if, in our reasonable opinion, we suspect any breach of these rules, the Charge Anywhere terms or our Core Terms. 

5.3 If we deem in our discretion that a participant is ineligible for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel or recover any credit already awarded.

5.4 We reserve the right to amend these offer terms on reasonable notice. Any amendments will be published on OVO's website.

5.5 We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the Offer to new participants at any point.

5.6 In the event that for reasons beyond our reasonable control we are unable to award the offer, or we deem it appropriate to do so (in its reasonable discretion), we reserve the right to award an alternative of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at our sole discretion, the cash value of the offer.

5.7 These Terms are subject to English Law and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England unless you’re a resident of Scotland, in which case you may also bring proceedings in Scotland
