Getting a heat pump is one of the ultimate steps – they’re the future of heating. They work a bit like a fridge in reverse, drawing warmth from the air outside and using it to heat your home. And because they run on electricity, you won’t need to rely on gas for your heating.

1 From 1 February 2026, one month of free space heating is valued at £52.54 per month. This is based on a gas boiler running at 90% efficiency (as per the national average for A-rated boilers) with an annual gas consumption of 11,500 kWh, 77% of which is used for space heating. Assuming an air source of heat pump with a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (or efficiency rating) of 3.5 will use 2,277kWh of electricity annually for space heating at 27.69p/kWh (current SVT unit rate at Q1 2026). Actual savings may vary depending on efficiency of heat pump and tariff and heating usage. Terms and eligibility criteria apply.
