Electric heating

Restricted Hours tariffs

We’ll soon be ending our support for some of our meters.

If you have a meter that’s affected, we’ll be in touch to arrange a meter and tariff upgrade to keep your heating and hot water working.

Or contact us now to arrange your upgrade.

What is a Restricted Hours tariff?

We've got a range of Restricted Hours tariffs which offer from 8 to 15 hours on the cheaper, off-peak rate per day. Some even give you the cheaper rate all weekend, from Friday through to Monday.

It has two meters; one is for your heating and sometimes hot water, the other is for your normal usage around your home. The meter for your heating offers the cheaper rate, while your other meter will be the same as our standard rate. This means you need to make sure your storage heaters and hot water are wired up to your off-peak meter (an electrician can check this for you).

What are the cheaper, off-peak times?

Each tariff offers different times. For Restricted Hours B and D, the times will be different depending on where you live, so contact us to find out when your cheaper times are.
